This personality is attainable and was exemplified by the Messenger of God, who was sent to perfect moral character. A Muslim has to strive for it with the Messenger of God as the best role model.

The character of a Muslim is one of the most important issues for Muslims of today. Especially as Muslims are constantly under suspicion for being what they are not, it is all the more important to know, how we deal with ourselves in our conduct with the World around us.

Based on the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, this book gives good advice and admonition for the interested reader.

Sheikh Muhammad al-Ghazali was a prominent Islamic scholars of the twentieth century. Born at Buhayra, Egypt in 1335/1917, he received his schooling at the Alexandria Religious Institute before enrolling in Usul al-Din faculty of University of al-Azhar.

He was appointed Imam and lecturer at al-Makataba al-Khadra in Cairo and became a prominent member of the Muslim Brotherhood and a close associate of Sheikh Hasan Al-Banna. He was also the Under¬¨secretary for Islamic Da ‘wa in Egyptian Ministry of A wqaf. He taught at the universities ofUmm al-Qura (Makkah) and Qatar: and he served as a Chairman of the Academic Council first of al-Amir ‘Abd al-Qadir University, at Constantine, Algeria, and later of the international institute of Islamic Thought at Cairo.

He published over sixty books, many of which have been translated. His most acclaimed book is ‘Journey through the Qur’an’ (al-Tafsir al-mawdu’ li-suwar al-Quran al Karim).
